Our mandate

The mandate of the organisation is to unite French speaking individuals in order to promote the French language, culture and heritage. Another purpose is to provide French visibility in the community, to counter assimilation, and to offer various services in French to the whole population of PG.

According to the 2011 Statistics Canada, there are about 4,200 French speaking citizens in Prince George and its region, and about 1,200 Francophones. Since its existence, le Cercle des Canadiens Français has continued to grow and part of its growing is due to the partnership of several contributors and organizations, and also the support of our members.
